Global TV News - Toronto has informed us that Susan Hay is including her segment on the Doreen Hayes Dance Studio in her 'Making A Difference - Best of 2013' end of the year show!  Susan's special will air on

December 26/13

  &
January 01/14
The News Hour at Noon

After 20 years on Toronto's Global TV, covering weather, news and community events  Susan Hay is now the host of “Making a Difference”,  a twice-weekly news segment, airing Monday and Wednesday evenings on the News Hour.

This program is the perfect format for an incredible woman who donates so much of her free time to many local charities, is spokesperson for Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Reach for the Rainbow and the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario as well as sitting on the board for Ronald McDonald House.

Susan's  inspiring biography  reveals many humanitarian awards for her outstanding dedication and passion for her charitable work around the world with a special focus on youth programs. Her support for local organizations who are 'making a difference' includes a recent story about the Canada National Ballet School's free 12 week dance program to assist researchers from Ryerson and York Universities in the study of physical and neuropsychological effects of dance on people with Parkinson's disease.  We have been encouraging adult dance lessons since the beginning of our school as we believe that dancing keep us young, vital and you don't even know you are exercising!  Please contact the school for available classes in January 416-767-3062.

We celebrate this amazing woman and her dedication to filling the airwaves with positive uplifting stories of people who are "Making A Difference" in our GTA.  Doreen is honoured to be included in Susan's top stories of 2013 and to be appreciated for her almost 60 years of teaching dance to the Toronto community and we hope you and your family join us for some 'inspirational' TV!
